MMI is a clinical stage Italian high-tech start-up in the field of microsurgery founded in 2015, that has developed the first teleoperated robotic platform for micro-suturing in open surgery with wristed micro instruments.
The robotic platform offers the surgeon motion scaling and tremor reduction with the aim of facilitating existing procedures as well as enabling new applications in the field of microsurgery. With this technology, surgeons will be able to realize anastomosis in very small vessels and nerves with applications in post-oncological (Lymphedema), trauma reconstructions, ophthalmology, organ transplant and pediatric surgery.
