Tensive is an Italian startup that has developed Regenera, a biodegradable polymeric scaffold that allows to restore the breast natural tissues in patients undergoing breast reconstruction and augmentation procedures. Once implanted, the scaffold gradually degrades and is substituted by the patients' tissue over time allowing for a more tailored and natural result for the patients. As of today, there are approximately 300k breast reconstruction procedures after lumpectomy and 500k (primary and revisions) breast augmentation surgeries every year in the USA alone
