CorFlow Therapeutics is a Swiss/Italian startup founded in 2016 that has developed the Controlled Flow Infusion (CoFI) System, an innovative device that allows the acute diagnosis and treatment of MicroVascular Obstruction (MVO) in conjunction with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in STEMI patients. As of today, there are no technologies that can accurately diagnose and treat MVO while the patient is in the cath lab undergoing PCI. There are more than 420k PCI procedures every year to treat STEMI patients in EU and USA, out of which >50% are diagnosed with MVO.
